They always say time flies; I however didn’t think it would be flying by this fast. It feels like yesterday I was starting my last semester, here I am 53 days shy of graduation. I’d have to say this is such a great feeling, as I am the first in my family to graduate from college. This will be just one of many big achievements that are yet to come, although I hit many personal roadblocks, knocked down numerous times; my strong strength of character and self motivation, I’ve been able to overcome and triumph them all. And this has not only allowed me to build as a person, it has motivated me to move forward and take the next step and go to grad school. If I could give one tip of advice to anyone, I would say the only person that can set a limit on you, is you yourself, as you yourself know your limitations. And If you set yourself up to fail, your going to fail, if you set yourself up to succeed, your going to succeed!

The Bond
It wasn't until this year that I started to make an effort to take a more open-minded approach in trying to discover my best self. A friend of mine introduced me to a free online teleseries called Healing With The Masters. Initially I had my reservations, but when I did some research on who the speakers were and the work they've produced, I became curious. After the first call, I was intrigued. I listened to most of the series when I didn't have to work and I learned so many new principles (more than I can remember, unfortunately) on living life freely, abundantly. I know I have ways to go, but I now have a desire to learn more about letting things go and just being. In comes Lynne McTaggart's The Bond Teleclass and Fairness Campaign Summit, which launches July 25th and is, yet again, free. I am personally looking forward to this series as I have become a fan of Lynne McTaggart's work and research. Her messages trigger my desire for self-research and ability (or inability) to apply the necessary tools she offers to get closer to enlightenment and liberty. This will be a 21-day program, launching Monday. The first five days are taught by Lynne as she walks the audience through teachings from her latest literal treasure "The Bond." Immediately following The Bond Workshop is The Fairness Campaign; a free 16-day speaker summit with some of the biggest names in self-help and personal transformation including: Marianne Williamson, Jack Canfield, Hale Dwoskin, Michael Beckwith and Eric Pearl, Barbara Marx Hubbard, Jean Houston, Gay and Katie Hendricks and Arielle Ford, Marci Shimoff, Katherine Woodward Thomas, James O’Dea and Don Beck and many, many more. There's no reason to miss this special summit. It's free and convenient to access. Check it out today at http://bit.ly/mctaggart!

Helping Yourself!
Though we will never truly understand where life takes us and what our purpose may be, it is our job to make the best of it! It’s always said, "You never truly learn unless you are learning from your own mistake and what not to do next time." Most times, you must travel down bumpy roads, hit speed bumps, and roadblocks. However, this is what broadens learning experiences and shapes our inner self. The best thing to remember is if you aren’t willing to help yourself, then how are others expected to help you? Feelings like the walls are closing in on you with nowhere to turn are simply never true! Most likely, you’re not looking in the right places and allowing yourself the gain the necessary tools to succeed in life.

No Public Smoking in NYC?
While driving today, I heard on the radio that the city of New York will soon put an end to public smoking in places such as Time Square, Central Park, etc. Pretty much giving smokers the option to smoke at home, if someone is caught smoking in a prohinited area, they will receive a fine of up to $150. I'm unsure how this is going to pan out in the long run as I believe smokers will become irate and not form to change so well. I stand in the middle of this issue. I know smokers pay taxes, keeping many employed. If smoking really does become banned in other major cities, currently employed workers at the cigarette companies may soon become unemployed. Smokers will retaliate in more ways then one! However, I also pay taxes and am a non-smoker. Why should I be subjected to inhaling and smelling like cigarette smoke? I believe we all should have the option to do what we choose to do in our own personal lives, but I strongly believe going a different route and meeting in the middle. Maybe having a designated smoking area for smokers will make more sense. I am really not sure how this will work and if police departments like the NYPD don’t already have enough issues to take on.

Jersey Shore
Doing my fair share of watching reality TV shows, I will never understand The Jersey Shore. I just don’t know how they believe this show is socially acceptable in our current society! You have a group of young adults, showing our viewers of all ages, that if you drink, have sex and party all the time on TV, you will surely land a television job on a major network. And this show has multiple seasons, a very large following and many endorsements! I know they happen to be on season three and season two was filmed in Miami, FL, however it was still called “The Jersey Shore” with no one questioning this... Need I say more?! Help me understand this show!

Time for a movie!
I went to the movies tonight, trying to enjoy a very low-key night. However it was anything but thanks to 15 little immature teens. I remember once being that age and never acted obnoxiously especially at the movies. It makes you think what type of parents they may have and how they may act. It definitely makes me second guess wanting to go to the movies again, though it is the very reason I rarely go out to movies these days. I mean the price of movies are always increasing and they are not really family-oriented anymore. I don't understand how a family of three can willingly spend $68 at the concessions stand at a movie theater! I was beside myself. I know going out isn’t cheap but that's just highway robbery. Now I truly understand why I rarely see families spending the night out. I guess it's time for families to now go back to family game night and watch movies at home!
